It was a beautiful night when we set sail at the Boston harbor. I was excited to work with Classic Harbor Line and take in their City Lights Sail on the Adirondack III. This night-time sailing cruise provides you with great views of the harbors beautiful evening lighting of historical iconic buildings, bridges and The Bunker Hill Monument and Old Ironsides. On this night cruise you get to truly experience the beauty of the city from afar, all from an elegant 80 foot pilot schooner.
It was a warm evening but once we were out sailing it got pretty cool out there...so glad blankets are available on this schooner. The change in temperature is something to take into consideration if you looking to take in a sail.
Once you get out and away from the noise of the harbor nightlife the wind picks up...a sail is hoisted by the crew and it is at this point that everything gets completely silent and peaceful...such a relaxing ride. In fact it's so relaxing time just stands still and before I knew we were on our way back. I totally got lost in time while the crew took care of us with cold beverages.
Due to the low lighting it was difficult to capture the beauty of this night-time cruise. But don't let that discourage you from taking pictures!
